Neverlost Wandering Photography
Neverlost Wandering Photography
I don't remember the first time I actually held a camera.
I do know I was young; our Uncle would bring the latest model from Eastman -Kodak when visiting.
Photography caught my eye from those days forward. Black and white were my beginnings, color followed soon thereafter.
The darkroom was my favorite place to be as I watched ( and taught students) as the film developed.
Although life itself would take precedent as we raised our family and folllowed careers, I'd try and find time to shoot.
My travels across America and throughout Europe with friends and family have often resulted in me being left behind with a lot of running to catch up as we toured new cities ,ancient history and watched the rising or the setting of the sun or wisps off a smoldering volcano.
My gallery here, is just a taste of what I see.
My dad used to sing to me at night. His favorite song ( and maybe his only song) was the Scottish Bonnie Banks Loch Lomond: "O’ you tak' the high road, and I’ll tak' the low road” He more than likely was one of the reasons I wander to this day.
My favorite book is The Road Less Traveled by M. Scott Peck, and I’ve taken a liking to the title and have incorport\ted it in my life.
My neverlost wanderings are beginning again, after along road from Boston to Florida, Florida to New Hampshire and, lately Maine.
I sincerely appreciate the loo/visit and appreciate you sharing with others.
All of my photos are for sale, and all of my photos are protected under copyright laws; 2010-2025
I find that photographs bring out the most amazing people
to communicate with.
Photography to me is the sharing of vast emotions.
I saw something when taking the photo, You see something that I
may have not even noticed in such a way, when viewing the print itself. Photography can bring the world to your door without ever taking a step.
The photograph above was taken at Auschwitz. I turned around to have a last look at the glass encased floor and found the sun reflecting through the rear windows- where the sun shouldn't have been shining in.
Over my many years, I’ve learned the meaning of there are no shoulds in life.
Many of my photographs have anomalies that cannot be explained.
Photography can be subtle, exciting, peaceful, silent.
It can be as cold and hard as war, or as sleek as a calm wave lapping and inviting along the shoreline.
It can be nature's finest or mans worst actions, recorded in a flash.
It can reveal our souls, enlighten humanity for the cause, or cause us to reflect on the depth of the nature before us.
They are our memories.
Can't get to the shore, the mountains or go birding? Every time I post a new picture you'll see it first!
